Ramos Gin Fizz
One of New Orleans' most famous cocktails created in 1888. Featuring citrusy and meringue-like flavours.
Ramos Gin Fizz Cocktail Recipe
Glass: Highball
Garnish: Serve with a straw
Ingredients:
- 1 oz (30 ml) Barrel aged gin
- 1 oz (30 ml) Aromatic gin
- 1 oz (30 ml) heavy cream
- 0.5 oz (15 ml) lime juice
- 0.5 oz (15 ml) lemon juice
- 0.5 oz (15 ml) simple syrup
- 0.5 oz (15 ml) egg white
- 1 dash of orange blossom water
- 1 oz (30 ml) soda water, plus more to top
Method:
- In a cocktail shaker, add all the ingredients
- Shake with ice for 10-20 seconds
- Dry shake (without ice) for 10 seconds
- Add 30ml of soda to a chilled highball glass
- Strain into the glass
- Let the drink rest in the fridge for 1-2 minutes
- Remove from the fridge and gently top with soda water
- Serve with a straw
