Negroni

Legend has it that an Italian count named Camillo Negroni ordered a gin-forti ed Americano at Café Casoni in Florence in 1920. It went on to become his “usual” drink.

Negroni Cocktail Recipe

Glass: Old fashioned
Garnish: Orange slice or wedge

Ingredients:

• 1 oz (30 ml) blood orange gin
• 1 oz (30 ml) sweet vermouth
• 1 oz (30 ml) Campari

Method:

1. In a mixing glass, add all the ingredients
2. Stir for 15-25 seconds
3. Strain over fresh ice into an old fashioned glass
