Negroni

Negroni Cocktail Recipe

The Negroni is a simple 3-ingredient bittersweet aperitivo cocktail. The classic Negroni is traditionally made with equal parts of gin, Campari, and sweet vermouth although many modern bartenders prefer to serve it a little more gin-forward by increasing the gin to 37.5 ml (or more!).

The Negroni is bitter and boozy and is the ideal pre-dinner sipper to warm up your appetite.

It was first served in Florence, Italy over 100 years ago in 1919.

INGREDIENTS

  • 30 ml gin (we love using our Blood Orange gin)
  • 30 ml sweet vermouth
  • 30 ml Campari

METHOD

  1. In a mixing glass, combine all the ingredients
  2. Add ice and stir
  3. Strain over fresh ice into an old fashioned glass
  4. Garnish with a slice or twist of orange
