The Last Word was created in the early 1920s at the Detroit Athletic Club.

Last Word Cocktail Recipe

Glass: Coupe
Garnish: Maraschino cherry

Ingredients:

• 0.75 oz (22.5 ml) dry gin
• 0.75 oz (22.5 ml) Green Chartreuse
• 0.75 oz (22.5 ml) maraschino liqueur (Luxardo)
• 0.75 oz (22.5 ml) lime juice

Method:

1. In a cocktail shaker, add all the ingredients
2. Shake with ice for 10-12 seconds
3. Double strain into a chilled coupe glass
