Gin Sour
The sour family of cocktails originates from the mid-19th century. A gin sour is a light, refreshing, botanical take on a sour.
Gin Sour Cocktail Recipe
Glass: Coupe
Garnish: Lemon twist and 3 drops of Angostura bitters
Ingredients:
- 1 oz (30 ml) dry gin
- 1 oz (30 ml) shiraz gin
- 1 oz lemon juice
- 0.5 oz simple syrup
- 0.5 oz egg white
Method:
- In a cocktail shaker, add all the ingredients
- Dry shake (without ice)
- Wet shake (with ice) for 10-12 seconds
- Double strain into a chilled coupe glass
