Martini
The first written reference to a Dry Martini was in 1904. It was listed with a 50/50 split of gin and dry vermouth which differs from the bone dry versions of today.
Dry Martini Cocktail Recipe
Glass: Coupe
Garnish: Skewered olives
Ingredients:
- 2.5 oz (75 ml) dry gin
- 0.5 oz (15 ml) dry vermouth
- 1 dash of orange bitters
Method:
- In a mixing glass, add all the ingredients
- Stir for 20-30 seconds
- Strain into a chilled stemmed cocktail glass
