The drink is credited to Californian bartender J. “Popo” Galsini, who won the 1967 International Bartender’s Association World Championship with his recipe.
Glass: Old fashioned
Garnish: Skewered lime and maraschino
- 1.5 oz (45 ml) Aromatic gin
- 0.5 oz (15 ml) Coconut gin liqueur
- 0.5 oz (15 ml) lemon juice
- 0.5 oz (15 ml) passion fruit syrup
- 0.25 oz (7.5 ml) falernum
- 0.25 oz (7.5 ml) orgeat
Method:
- In a cocktail shaker, add all the ingredients
- Shake with ice for 10-12 seconds
- Strain over pebble ice into an old fashioned glass
