Ramos Gin Fizz Cocktail Recipe

One of New Orleans' most famous cocktails created in 1888. Featuring citrusy and meringue-like flavours.

Glass: Highball
Garnish: Serve with a straw

  • 1 oz (30 ml) Barrel aged gin
  • 1 oz (30 ml) Aromatic gin
  • 1 oz (30 ml) heavy cream 
  • 0.5 oz (15 ml) lime juice 
  • 0.5 oz (15 ml) lemon juice 
  • 0.5 oz (15 ml) simple syrup
  • 0.5 oz (15 ml) egg white
  • 1 dash of orange blossom water
  • 1 oz (30 ml) soda water, plus more to top

Method:

  1. In a cocktail shaker, add all the ingredients
  2. Shake with ice for 10-20 seconds
  3. Dry shake (without ice) for 10 seconds
  4. Add 30ml of soda to a chilled highball glass
  5. Strain into the glass
  6. Let the drink rest in the fridge for 1-2 minutes
  7. Remove from the fridge and gently top with soda water
  8. Serve with a straw
